pritha bhratrin svasrir vikshya

tat-putran pitarav api

bhratri-patnir mukundam ca

jahau sankathaya sucah

SYNONYMS

pritha -- Kunti; bhratrin -- her brothers; svasrih -- and sisters; vikshya -- seeing; tat -- their; putran -- children; pitarau -- her parents; api -- also; bhratri -- of her brothers; patnih -- the wives; mukundam -- Lord Krishna; ca -- also; jahau -- she gave up; sankathaya -- while talking; sucah -- her sorrow.

TRANSLATION

Queen Kunti met with her brothers and sisters and their children, and also with her parents, her brothers' wives and Lord Mukunda. While talking with them she forgot her sorrow.

PURPORT

Even the constant anxiety of a pure devotee, apparently just the opposite of the impersonalists' santi, can be an exalted manifestation of love of God, as exemplified by Srimati Kuntidevi, the aunt of Lord Krishna and mother of the Pandavas.
