tatra snātvā mahā-bhāgā

uposhya su-samāhitāh

brāhmanebhyo dadur dhenūr

vāsah-srag-rukma-mālinīh

SYNONYMS

tatra — there; snātvā — bathing; mahā-bhāgāh — the greatly pious (Yādavas); uposhya — fasting; su-samāhitāh — with careful attention; brāhmanebhyahto brāhmanas; daduh — they gave; dhenūh — cows; vāsah — with garments; srak — flower garlands; rukma — gold; mālinīh — and necklaces.

TRANSLATION

At Samanta-pańcaka, the saintly Yādavas bathed and then observed a fast with careful attention. Afterward they presented brāhmanas with cows bedecked with garments, flower garlands and gold necklaces.
