tad vīkshya tān upavrajya

vasudevo mahā-yaśāh

pranamya copasańgrihya

babhāshedam su-yantritah

SYNONYMS

tat — this; vīkshya — seeing; tān — them; upavrajya — approaching; vasudevahVasudeva; mahā — great; yaśāh — whose fame; pranamya — bowing down; ca — and; upasańgrihya — taking hold of their feet; babhāshahe said; idam — this; su — very; yantritah — carefully composed.

TRANSLATION

Seeing that they were about to leave, the renowned Vasudeva approached the sages. After bowing down to them and touching their feet, he spoke to them with carefully chosen words.
