śrī-śuka uvāca

iti tad-vacanam śrutvā

vasudevo mahā-manāh

tān rishīn ritvijo vavre

mūrdhnānamya prasādya ca

SYNONYMS

śrī-śukah uvāca — Śukadeva Gosvāmī said; iti — thus spoken; tat — their; vacanam — words; śrutvā — having heard; vasudevah — Vasudeva; mahā-manāh — generous; tān — them; rishīn — the sages; ritvijah — as priests; vavre — chose; mūrdhnā — with his head; ānamya — bowing down; prasādya — gratifying them; ca — also.

TRANSLATION

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: After hearing these statements of the sages, generous Vasudeva bowed his head to the ground and, praising them, requested them to become his priests.
