śrī-śukah uvāca — Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said; evam — thus; sauhrida — by intimate sympathy; śaithilya — made soft; cittah — whose heart; ānakadundubhih — Vasudeva; ruroda — cried; tat — by him (Nanda); kritām — done; maitrīm — the acts of friendship; smaran — remembering; aśru — tears; vilocanah — in whose eyes.
TRANSLATION
Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: His heart softened by feelings of intimate sympathy, Vasudeva wept. His eyes brimmed with tears as he remembered the friendship Nanda had shown him.
