SYNONYMS

mumucuh -- they released; puspa -- of flowers; varsani -- rain; hate -- having been killed; pape -- the sinful; vrka-asure -- demon Vrka; deva-rsi -- the celestial sages; pitr -- departed forefathers; gandharvah -- and singers of heaven; mocitah -- freed; sankatat -- from danger; sivah -- Lord Siva.

TRANSLATION

The celestial sages, Pitas and Gandharvas rained down flowers to celebrate the killing of sinful Vrkasura. Now Lord Siva was out of danger.
