yadu-vamśa-prasūtānām

pumsām vikhyāta-karmanām

sańkhyā na śakyate kartum

api varshāyutair nripa

SYNONYMS

yadu-vamśain the Yadu dynasty; prasūtānām — of those who were born; pumsām — men; vikhyāta — famous; karmanām — whose deeds; sańkhyā — the counting; na śakyate — cannot; kartum — be done; api — even; varshain years; ayutaih — tens of thousands; nripaO King (Parīkshit).

TRANSLATION

The Yadu dynasty produced innumerable great men of famous deeds. Even in tens of thousands of years, O King, one could never count them all.
