śrī-śuka uvāca

rājann evaḿ kṛta-praśno

vasudevena dhīmatā

prītas tam āha devarṣir

hareḥ saḿsmārito guṇaiḥ

SYNONYMS

śrī-śukaḥ uvācaŚrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said; rājanO King; evam — thus; kṛta-praśnaḥ — questioned; vasudevena — by Vasudeva; dhīmatā — the intelligent; prītaḥ — pleased; tamto him; āha — spoke; deva-ṛṣiḥ — the sage among the demigods; hareḥ — of Lord Hari; saḿsmāritaḥmade to remember; guṇaiḥ — by the qualities.

TRANSLATION

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: O King, Devarṣi Nārada was pleased by the questions of the highly intelligent Vasudeva. Because they suggested the transcendental qualities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, they reminded Nārada of Lord Kṛṣṇa. Thus Nārada replied to Vasudeva as follows.
