ity uddhavenāty-anurakta-cetasā
prishto jagat-krīdanakah sva-śaktibhih
grihīta-mūrti-traya īśvareśvaro
jagāda sa-prema-manohara-smitah
SYNONYMS
śrī-śukah uvāca — Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said; iti — thus; uddhavena — by Uddhava; ati-anurakta — extremely attached; cetasā — whose heart; prishtah — asked; jagat — the universe; krīdanakah — whose plaything; sva-śaktibhih — by His own energies; grihīta — who has assumed; mūrti — personal forms; trayah — three; īśvara — of all controllers; īśvarah — the supreme controller; jagāda — He spoke; sa-prema — loving; manah-hara — attractive; smitah — whose smile.
TRANSLATION
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Thus questioned by the most affectionate Uddhava, Lord Krishna, the supreme controller of all controllers, who takes the entire universe as His plaything and assumes the three forms of Brahmā, Vishnu and Śiva, began to reply, lovingly displaying His all-attractive smile.
