ya evam etad bhṛgu-varya varṇitaḿ
saḿśrāvayet saḿśṛṇuyād u tāv ubhau
tayor na karmāśaya-saḿsṛtir bhavet
yaḥ — who; evam — thus; etat — this; bhṛgu-varya — O best of the descendants of Bhṛgu (Śaunaka); varṇitam — described; ratha-ańga-pāṇeḥ — of Lord Śrī Hari, who carries a chariot wheel in His hand; anubhāva — with the potency; bhāvitam — infused; saḿśrāvayet — causes anyone to hear; saḿśṛṇuyāt — himself hears; u — or; tau — they; ubhau — both; tayoḥ — of them; na — not; karma-āśaya — based on the mentality of fruitive work; saḿsṛtiḥ — the cycle of material life; bhavet — there is.
O best of the Bhṛgus, this account concerning Mārkaṇḍeya Ṛṣi conveys the transcendental potency of the Supreme Lord. Anyone who properly narrates or hears it will never again undergo material existence, which is based on the desire to perform fruitive activities.
