kshetrānām caiva sarveshām
SYNONYMS
kshetrānām — of holy places; ca — and; eva — indeed; sarveshām — of all; yathā — as; kāśī — Benares; hi — indeed; anuttamā — unexcelled; tathā — thus; purāna-vrātānām — of all the Purānas; śrīmat-bhāgavatam — Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam; dvijāh — O brāhmanas.
TRANSLATION
O brāhmanas, in the same way that the city of Kāśī is unexcelled among holy places, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is supreme among all the Purānas.
