sa vai svāyambhuvah samrāt

priyah putrah svayambhuvah

pratilabhya priyām patnīm

kim cakāra tato mune

SYNONYMS

vidurah uvācaVidura said; sahhe; vai — easily; svāyambhuvahSvāyambhuva Manu; samrāt — the king of all kings; priyah — dear; putrah — son; svayambhuvah — of Brahmā; pratilabhya — after obtaining; priyām — most loving; patnīm — wife; kim — what; cakāra — did; tatah — thereafter; muneO great sage.

TRANSLATION

Vidura said: O great sage, what did Svāyambhuva, the dear son of Brahmā, do after obtaining his very loving wife?
