kutumba-bharanākalpo
manda-bhāgyo vrithodyamah
SYNONYMS
kutumba — his family; bharana — in maintaining; akalpah — unable; manda-bhāgyah — the unfortunate man; vrithā — in vain; udyamah — whose effort; śriyā — beauty, wealth; vihīnah — bereft of; kripanah — wretched; dhyāyan — grieving; śvasiti — he sighs; mūdha — bewildered; dhīh — his intelligence.
TRANSLATION
Thus the unfortunate man, unsuccessful in maintaining his family members, is bereft of all beauty. He always thinks of his failure, grieving very deeply.
