vāyunotkramatottārah

kapha-samruddha-nādikah

kāsa-śvāsa-kritāyāsah

kanthe ghura-ghurāyate

SYNONYMS

vāyunā — by air; utkramatā — bulging out; uttārah — his eyes; kapha — with mucus; samruddha — congested; nādikah — his windpipe; kāsa — coughing; śvāsa — breathing; krita — done; āyāsah — difficulty; kanthein the throat; ghura-ghurāyatehe produces a sound like ghura-ghura.

TRANSLATION

In that diseased condition, one's eyes bulge due to the pressure of air from within, and his glands become congested with mucus. He has difficulty breathing, and upon exhaling and inhaling he produces a sound like ghura-ghura, a rattling within the throat.
