evam krita-matir garbhe

dasa-masyah stuvann rishih

sadyah kshipaty avacinam

prasutyai suti-marutah

SYNONYMS

kapilah uvaca -- Lord Kapila said; evam -- thus; krita-matih -- desiring; garbhe -- in the womb; dasa-masyah -- ten-month-old; stuvan -- extolling; rishih -- the living entity; sadyah -- at that very time; kshipati -- propels; avacinam -- turned downward; prasutyai -- for birth; suti-marutah -- the wind for childbirth.

TRANSLATION

Lord Kapila continued: The ten-month-old living entity has these desires even while in the womb. But while he thus extols the Lord, the wind that helps parturition propels him forth with his face turned downward so that he may be born.
