kapila uvāca

evam krita-matir garbhe

daśa-māsyah stuvann rishih

sadyah kshipaty avācīnam

prasūtyai sūti-mārutah

SYNONYMS

kapilah uvāca — Lord Kapila said; evam — thus; krita-matih — desiring; garbhein the womb; daśa-māsyah — ten-month-old; stuvan — extolling; rishih — the living entity; sadyah — at that very time; kshipati — propels; avācīnam — turned downward; prasūtyai — for birth; sūti-mārutah — the wind for childbirth.

TRANSLATION

Lord Kapila continued: The ten-month-old living entity has these desires even while in the womb. But while he thus extols the Lord, the wind that helps parturition propels him forth with his face turned downward so that he may be born.
