SYNONYMS
sri-sukah uvaca -- Sri Sukadeva Gosvami said; evam -- thus; bruvanam -- speaking; maitreyam -- unto the sage. Maitreya; dvaipayana-sutah -- the son of Dvaipayana; budhah -- learned; prinayan -- in a pleasing manner; iva -- as it was; bharatya -- in the manner of a request; vidurah -- Vidura; pratyabhashata -- expressed.
TRANSLATION
Sri Sukadeva Gosvami said: O King, while Maitreya, the great sage, was thus speaking, Vidura, the learned son of Dvaipayana Vyasa, expressed a request in a pleasing manner by asking this question.
