brāhmana-pramukhān varnān

bhrityāmātya-purodhasah

paurāñ jāna-padān śrenīh

prakritīh samapūjayat

SYNONYMS

brāhmana-pramukhān — unto the leaders of the brāhmana community; varnānto the other castes; bhritya — servants; amātya — ministers; purodhasahto the priests; paurānto the citizens; jāna-padānto his countrymen; śrenīhto different communities; prakritīhto the admirers; samapūjayathe gave proper respects.

TRANSLATION

King Prithu thus satisfied and offered all respect to all the leaders of the brāhmanas and other castes, to his servants, to his ministers and to the priests, citizens, general countrymen, people from other communities, admirers and others, and thus they all became happy.
