yatra hi mahāhi-pravara-śiro-manayah sarvam tamah prabādhante

SYNONYMS

yatra — where; hi — indeed; mahā-ahi — of great serpents; pravara — of the best; śirah-manayah — the gems on the hoods; sarvam — all; tamah — darkness; prabādhante — drive away.

TRANSLATION

Many great serpents reside there with gems on their hoods, and the effulgence of these gems dissipates the darkness in all directions.
