tato 'dhastād yaksha-rakshah-piśāca-preta-bhūta-ganānām vihārājiram antariksham yāvad vāyuh pravāti yāvan meghā upalabhyante

SYNONYMS

tatah adhastāt — beneath the planets occupied by the Siddhas, Cāranas and Vidyādharas; yaksha-rakshah-piśāca-preta-bhūta-ganānām — of Yakshas, Rākshasas, Piśācas, ghosts and so on; vihāra-ajiram — the place of sense gratification; antarikshamin the sky or outer space; yāvatas far as; vāyuh — the wind; pravāti — blows; yāvatas far as; meghāh — the clouds; upalabhyanteare seen.

TRANSLATION

Beneath Vidyādhara-loka, Cāranaloka and Siddhaloka, in the sky called antariksha, are the places of enjoyment for the Yakshas, Rākshasas, Piśācas, ghosts and so on. Antariksha extends as far as the wind blows and the clouds float in the sky. Above this there is no more air.
