yajñocchishtam adād dvijah
SYNONYMS
jyeshthā — the senior; śreshthā — the most perfect; ca — and; yā — she who; rājñah — of the King; mahishīnām — among all the queens; ca — also; bhārata — O Mahārāja Parīkshit, the best of the Bhāratas; nāmnā — by name; kritadyutih — Kritadyuti; tasyai — unto her; yajña — of the sacrifice; ucchishtam — the remnants of food; adāt — delivered; dvijah — the great sage (Ańgirā).
TRANSLATION
O Parīkshit Mahārāja, best of the Bhāratas, the remnants of the food offered in the yajña were given by the great sage Ańgirā to the first and most perfect among Citraketu's millions of queens, whose name was Kritadyuti.
