SYNONYMS

vidvesha-nashta-matayah — whose intelligence was lost in envy; striyah — the women; dāruna-cetasah — being very hardhearted; garam — poison; daduh — administered; kumārāya — unto the boy; durmarshāh — being intolerant; nripatim — the King; prati — upon.

TRANSLATION

As their envy increased, they lost their intelligence. Being extremely hardhearted and unable to tolerate the King's neglect, they finally administered poison to the son.
