SYNONYMS

sri-sukah uvaca -- Sri Sukadeva Gosvami said; evam -- thus; asvasitah -- being enlightened or given hope; raja -- the King; citraketuh -- Citraketu; dvija-uktibhih -- by the instructions of the great brahmanas (Narada and Angira Rishi); vimrijya -- wiping off; panina -- by the hand; vaktram -- his face; adhi-mlanam -- shriveled due to lamentation; abhashata -- spoke intelligently.

TRANSLATION

Sri Sukadeva Gosvami continued: Thus enlightened by the instructions of Narada and Angira, King Citraketu became hopeful with knowledge. Wiping his shriveled face with his hand, the King began to speak.
