yāmyāh pratihatodyamāh
patim vijñāpayām āsur
SYNONYMS
śrī-śukah uvāca — Śukadeva Gosvāmī said; bhagavat-purushaih — by the order carriers of the Lord, the Vishnudūtas; rājan — O King; yāmyāh — the order carriers of Yamarāja; pratihata-udyamāh — whose efforts were defeated; patim — their master; vijñāpayām āsuh — informed; yamam — Yamarāja; samyamanī-patim — the master of the city Samyamanī.
TRANSLATION
Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī replied: My dear King, when the order carriers of Yamarāja were baffled and defeated by the order carriers of Vishnu, they approached their master, the controller of Samyamanī-purī and master of sinful persons, to tell him of this incident.
