tatah kāvyādibhih sārdham

munibhih kamalāsanah

daityānām dānavānām ca

prahrādam akarot patim

SYNONYMS

tatah — thereafter; kāvya-ādibhih — with Śukrācārya and others; sārdham — and with; munibhih — great saintly persons; kamala-āsanah — Lord Brahmā; daityānām — of all the demons; dānavānām — of all the giants; ca — and; prahrādamPrahlāda Mahārāja; akarot — created; patim — the master or king.

TRANSLATION

Thereafter, along with Śukrācārya and other great saints, Lord Brahmā, whose seat is on the lotus flower, made Prahlāda the king of all the demons and giants in the universe.

PURPORT

By the grace of Lord Nrisimhadeva, Prahlāda Mahārāja became a greater king than his father, Hiranyakaśipu. Prahlāda's inauguration was performed by Lord Brahmā in the presence of other saintly persons and demigods.
