paśyed ātmany ado viśvam
SYNONYMS
paśyet — one should see; ātmani — in the Supreme Soul; adah — this; viśvam — universe; pare — beyond; sat-asatah — the creation or cause of creation; avyaye — in the Absolute, which is free from deterioration; ātmānam — himself; ca — also; param — the supreme; brahma — absolute; sarvatra — everywhere; sat-asat — in the cause and in the effect; maye — all-pervading.
TRANSLATION
The sannyāsī should always try to see the Supreme pervading everything and see everything, including this universe, resting on the Supreme.
