SYNONYMS

atma-amsa-bhutam -- a potency of the Supreme Soul; tam -- unto her; mayam -- the illusory energy; bhavanim -- who is the wife of Lord Siva; bhagavan -- the powerful; bhavah -- Lord Siva; sammatam -- accepted; rishi-mukhyanam -- by the great sages; pritya -- in jubilation; acashta -- began to address; atha -- then; bharata -- O Maharaja Parikshit, descendant of Bharata.

TRANSLATION

O descendant of Bharata Maharaja, Lord Siva, in jubilation, then addressed his wife, Bhavani, who is accepted by all authorities as the potency of Lord Vishnu.
