soka-vega-vimohitah

ha tata sadho dharmishtha

tyaktvasman svar-gato bhavan

SYNONYMS

te -- all the sons of Jamadagni; duhkha -- of grief; rosha -- anger; amarsha -- indignation; arti -- affliction; soka -- and lamentation; vega -- with the force; vimohitah -- bewildered; ha tata -- O father; sadho -- the great saint; dharmishtha -- the most religious person; tyaktva -- leaving; asman -- us; svah-gatah -- have gone to the heavenly planets; bhavan -- you.

TRANSLATION

Virtually bewildered by grief, anger, indignation, affliction and lamentation, the sons of Jamadagni cried, "O father, most religious, saintly person, you have left us and gone to the heavenly planets !"
