rantidevasya mahima

SYNONYMS

guruh -- a son named Guru; ca -- and; rantidevah ca -- and a son named Rantideva; sankriteh -- from Sankriti; pandu-nandana -- O Maharaja Parikshit, descendant of Pandu; rantidevasya -- of Rantideva; mahima -- the glories; iha -- in this world; amutra -- and in the next world; ca -- also; giyate -- are glorified.

TRANSLATION

O Maharaja Parikshit, descendant of Pandu, Sankriti had two sons, named Guru and Rantideva. Rantideva is famous in both this world and the next, for he is glorified not only in human society but also in the society of the demigods.
