śiśupālah sutas tasyāh

kathitas tasya sambhavah

devabhāgasya kamsāyām

citraketu-brihadbalau

SYNONYMS

śiśupālahŚiśupāla; sutah — the son; tasyāh — of her (Śrutaśravā); kathitah — already described (in the Seventh Canto); tasya — his; sambhavah — birth; devabhāgasya — from Devabhāga, a brother of Vasudeva's; kamsāyāmin the womb of Kamsā, his wife; citraketuCitraketu; brihadbalau — and Brihadbala.

TRANSLATION

The son of Śrutaśravā was Śiśupāla, whose birth has already been described [in the Seventh Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam]. Vasudeva's brother named Devabhāga had two sons born of his wife, Kamsā. These two sons were Citraketu and Brihadbala.
