balam gadam sāranam ca

durmadam vipulam dhruvam

vasudevas tu rohinyām

kritādīn udapādayat

SYNONYMS

balam — Bala; gadam — Gada; sāranam — Sārana; ca — also; durmadam — Durmada; vipulam — Vipula; dhruvam — Dhruva; vasudevah — Vasudeva (the father of Krishna); tu — indeed; rohinyām — in the wife named Rohinī; krita-ādīn — the sons headed by Krita; udapādayat — begot.

TRANSLATION

Vasudeva, by the womb of his wife Rohinī, begot sons such as Bala, Gada, Sārana, Durmada, Vipula, Dhruva, Krita and others.
