rājanya-kalpa-varshādyā

upadevā-sutā daśa

vasu-hamsa-suvamśādyāh

śrīdevāyās tu shat sutāh

SYNONYMS

rājanyaRājanya; kalpaKalpa; varsha-ādyāhVarsha and others; upadevā-sutāh — sons of Upadevā, another wife of Vasudeva's; daśa — ten; vasuVasu; hamsaHamsa; suvamśaSuvamśa; ādyāh — and others; śrīdevāyāh — born of another wife, named Śrīdevā; tu — but; shat — six; sutāh — sons.

TRANSLATION

Vasudeva also had a wife named Upadevā, from whom came ten sons, headed by Rājanya, Kalpa and Varsha. From Śrīdevā, another wife, came six sons, such as Vasu, Hamsa and Suvamśa.
