eta śuni' rāya kahe prabhura caraṇe
rūpera kavitva praśaḿsi' sahasra-vadane
SYNONYMS
eta śuni' — hearing this; rāya — Rāmānanda Rāya; kahe — says; prabhura caraṇe — at the lotus feet of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; rūpera — of Rūpa Gosvāmī; kavitva — poetic art; praśaḿsi' — glorifying; sahasra-vadane — as if with a thousand mouths.
TRANSLATION
After hearing this, Śrīla Rāmānanda Rāya submitted at the lotus feet of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu the superexcellence of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī's poetic expression and began to praise it as if he had thousands of mouths.
