śasya khāya kukkura, 'kṛṣṇa' kahe bāra bāra

dekhiyā lokera mane haila camatkāra

SYNONYMS

śasya khāya — eats the pulp of green coconut; kukkura — the dog; kṛṣṇa — the holy name of Kṛṣṇa; kahe — chants; bāra bāra — again and again; dekhiyā — seeing this; lokera — of all the people; manein the minds; haila — there was; camatkāra — astonishment.

TRANSLATION

Seeing the dog eating the green coconut pulp and chanting "Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa" again and again, all the devotees present were very surprised.
