prabhu dekhi' daṇḍavat prāńgaṇe paḍilā
prabhu tāńre cāpaḍa māri' kahite lāgilā
SYNONYMS
prabhu dekhi' — after seeing the Lord there; daṇḍavat — obeisances; prāńgaṇe — in the courtyard; paḍilā — fell down; prabhu — Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; tāńre — to Rūpa Gosvāmī; cāpaḍa māri' — giving a mild slap; kahite lāgilā — began to speak.
TRANSLATION
Seeing the Lord, Śrī Rūpa Gosvāmī fell flat in the courtyard to offer obeisances. The Lord slapped him mildly in love and spoke as follows.
