haridāsa āchila pṛthivīra 'śiromaṇi'

tāhā vinā ratna-śūnyā ha-ila medinī

SYNONYMS

haridāsaṬhākura Haridāsa; āchila — was; pṛthivīra — of this world; śiromaṇi — the crown jewel; tāhā vinā — without him; ratna-śūnyā — without the valuable jewel; ha-ila — becomes; medinī — this world.

TRANSLATION

"Haridāsa Ṭhākura was the crown jewel on the head of this world; without him, this world is now bereft of its valuable jewel."
