virahe vyākula prabhu udvege uṭhilā

gambhīrāra bhittye mukha ghaṣite lāgilā

SYNONYMS

virahein the lamentation of separation; vyākula — very much agitated; prabhuŚrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; udvegein great anxiety; uṭhilā — stood up; gambhīrāra — of the Gambhīrā; bhittye — on the walls; mukha — face; ghaṣiteto rub; lāgilā — began.

TRANSLATION

Feeling separation from Kṛṣṇa, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was so distraught that in great anxiety He stood up and began rubbing His face against the walls of the Gambhīrā.
