jagannātha hana kṛṣṇera 'ātma-svarūpa'

kintu ihāń dāru-brahma — sthāvara-svarūpa

SYNONYMS

jagannātha — Lord Jagannātha; hana — is; kṛṣṇera ātma-svarūpa — identical with Kṛṣṇa; kintu — but; ihāń — here, at Jagannātha Purī; dāru-brahma — the Absolute appearing as wood; sthāvara-svarūpa — nonmoving identity.

TRANSLATION

"There is no difference between Lord Jagannātha and Kṛṣṇa, but here Lord Jagannātha is fixed as the Absolute Person appearing in wood. Therefore He does not move.
