abhojyānna vipra yadi karena nimantraṇa
prasāda-mūlya la-ite lāge kauḍi dui-paṇa
SYNONYMS
abhojya-anna vipra — a brāhmaṇa at whose place an invitation cannot be accepted; yadi — if; karena nimantraṇa — he invites; prasāda-mūlya — the price of the prasādam; la-ite — to bear; lāge — costs; kauḍi dui-paṇa — two paṇas of kauḍis.
TRANSLATION
When a brāhmaṇa at whose home an invitation could not be accepted invited the Lord, he would pay two paṇas of conchshells to purchase the prasādam.
