āsi' vidyā-vācaspatira gṛhete rahilā
prabhure dekhite loka-sańghaṭṭa ha-ilā
SYNONYMS
āsi' — coming to Bengal; vidyā-vācaspatira — of Vidyā-vācaspati; gṛhete — at the home; rahilā — remained; prabhure — unto Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu; dekhite — to see; loka-sańghaṭṭa — crowds of men; ha-ilā — there were.
TRANSLATION
When Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu reached Vidyānagara, Bengal, on the way to Vṛndāvana, He stopped at the house of Vidyā-vācaspati, who was the brother of Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya. When Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu suddenly arrived at his house, great crowds of people gathered.
