vṛndāvana haite yadi nīlācale āilā
āṭhāra varṣa tāhāń vāsa, kāhāń nāhi gelā
SYNONYMS
vṛndāvana haite — from Vṛndāvana; yadi — though; nīlācale — to Jagannātha Purī; āilā — came back; āṭhāra — eighteen; varṣa — years; tāhāń — at Jagannātha Purī; vāsa — residence; kāhāń — anywhere; nāhi — not; gelā — went.
TRANSLATION
When the Lord returned to Jagannātha Purī from Vṛndāvana, He remained there and did not go anywhere else for eighteen years.
