dāmodara kahe, — śańkara choṭa āmā haite
ebe āmāra baḍa bhāi tomāra kṛpāte
SYNONYMS
dāmodara kahe — Dāmodara Paṇḍita replied; śańkara — Śańkara; choṭa — younger; āmā haite — than me; ebe — now; āmāra — my; baḍa bhāi — elder brother; tomāra — of You; kṛpāte — by the mercy.
TRANSLATION
Dāmodara Paṇḍita replied, "Śańkara is my younger brother, but from today he becomes my elder brother because of Your special mercy upon him."
