mahāprasāda-kṣīra-lobhe rahilā prabhu tathā
pūrve īśvara-purī tāńre kahiyāchena kathā
SYNONYMS
mahā-prasāda — for the remnants of food; kṣīra — sweet rice; lobhe — in eagerness; rahilā — remained; prabhu — the Lord; tathā — there; pūrve — before that; īśvara-purī — Īśvara Purī, His spiritual master; tāńre — unto Him; kahiyāchena — told; kathā — a narration.
TRANSLATION
The Lord remained there because He was very eager to receive the remnants of sweet rice offered to the Gopīnātha Deity, having heard a narration from His spiritual master, Īśvara Purī, of what had once happened there.
