so 'py evaḿ kopito 'riṣṭaḥ

khureṇāvanim ullikhan

udyat-puccha-bhraman-meghaḥ

kruddhaḥ kṛṣṇam upādravat

SYNONYMS

saḥhe; api — indeed; evamin this way; kopitaḥ — angered; ariṣṭaḥAriṣṭa; khureṇa — with his hoof; avanim — the earth; ullikhan — scratching; udyat — raised; puccha — within his tail; bhraman — wandering; meghaḥ — clouds; kruddhaḥ — furious; kṛṣṇam — toward Lord Kṛṣṇa; upādravathe charged.

TRANSLATION

Thus provoked, Ariṣṭa pawed the ground with one of his hooves and then, with the clouds hovering around his upraised tail, furiously charged Kṛṣṇa.
