dhanuṣo bhajyamānasya
śabdaḥ khaḿ rodasī diśaḥ
pūrayām āsa yaḿ śrutvā
kaḿsas trāsam upāgamat
SYNONYMS
dhanuṣaḥ — of the bow; bhajyamānasya — which was breaking; śabdaḥ — the sound; kham — the earth; rodasī — the sky; diśaḥ — and all the directions; pūrayām āsa — filled; yam — which; śrutvā — hearing; kaḿsaḥ — King Kaḿsa; trāsam — fear; upāgamat — experienced.
TRANSLATION
The sound of the bow's breaking filled the earth and sky in all directions. Upon hearing it, Kaḿsa was struck with terror.
