tām aha bhagavān kārṣṇir

mātas te matir anyathā

mātṛ-bhāvam atikramya

vartase kāminī yathā

SYNONYMS

tāmto her; āha — said; bhagavān — the Lord; kārṣṇiḥPradyumna; mātaḥO mother; te — your; matiḥ — attitude; anyathā — otherwise; mātṛ-bhāvam — the mood or affection of a mother; atikramya — overstepping; vartase — you are acting; kāminīa girlfriend; yathā — like.

TRANSLATION

Lord Pradyumna told her, "O mother, your attitude has changed. You are overstepping the proper feelings of a mother and behaving like a lover."
