so 'gnis tuṣṭo dhanur adād

dhayān śvetān rathaḿ nṛpa

arjunāyākṣayau tūṇau

varma cābhedyam astribhiḥ

SYNONYMS

saḥ — that; agniḥ — Lord Agni; tuṣṭaḥ — pleased; dhanuḥa bow; adāt — gave; hayān — horses; śvetān — white; rathama chariot; nṛpaO King (Parīkṣit); arjunāyato Arjuna; akṣayau — inexhaustible; tūṇau — two quivers; varma — armor; ca — and; abhedyam — unbreakable; astribhiḥ — by wielders of weapons.

TRANSLATION

Being pleased, O King, Lord Agni presented Arjuna with a bow, a set of white horses, a chariot, a pair of inexhaustible quivers, and armor that no fighter could pierce with weapons.
