majjāyāḥ pańktir utpannā
bṛhatī prāṇato 'bhavat
SYNONYMS
majjāyāḥ — from the bone marrow; pańktiḥ — a particular type of verse; utpannā — became manifested; bṛhatī — another type of verse; prāṇataḥ — out of the life-breathing; abhavat — generated.
TRANSLATION
The art of writing verse, pańkti, became manifested from the bone marrow, and that of bṛhatī, another type of verse, was generated from the life-breath of the Lord of the living entities.
