haryakṣāyādiśat prācīḿ
dhūmrakeśāya dakṣiṇām
pratīcīḿ vṛka-saḿjñāya
turyāḿ draviṇase vibhuḥ
SYNONYMS
haryakṣāya — unto Haryakṣa; adiśat — delivered; prācīm — eastern; dhūmrakeśāya — unto Dhūmrakeśa; dakṣiṇām — the southern side; pratīcīm — the western side; vṛka-saḿjñāya — unto his brother whose name was Vṛka; turyām — the northern side; draviṇase — unto another brother of his named Draviṇa; vibhuḥ — the master.
TRANSLATION
Mahārāja Vijitāśva offered the eastern part of the world to his brother Haryakṣa, the southern part to Dhūmrakeśa, the western part to Vṛka and the northern part to Draviṇa.
