Bhaktivedanta VedaBase: Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 8.5.1

śrī-śuka uvāca

rājann uditam etat te

hareḥ karmāgha-nāśanam

gajendra-mokṣaṇaḿ puṇyaḿ

raivataḿ tv antaraḿ śṛṇu

SYNONYMS

śrī-śukaḥ uvācaŚrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said; rājanO King; uditam — already described; etat — this; te — unto you; hareḥ — of the Lord; karma — activity; agha-nāśanam — by hearing which one can be freed from all misfortune; gajendra-mokṣaṇam — deliverance of Gajendra, the King of the elephants; puṇyam — very pious to hear and describe; raivatam — about Raivata Manu; tu — but; antaramin this millennium; śṛṇu — kindly hear from me.

TRANSLATION

Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued: O King, I have described to you the pastime of Gajendra-mokṣaṇa, which is most pious to hear. By hearing of such activities of the Lord, one can be freed from all sinful reactions. Now please listen as I describe Raivata Manu.
